Right Click Menu Controls

  

This menu is found on multiple different S3 file types. Its items and their order may vary based on the file. 



Insert

  • Where to click: Cell, field, button, or grid.
  • What it does: Opens a menu for inserting a row above or below the row the cell is in; or inserting a column to the left or right of the column the cell is in.
  • How to use it: Click it.



Move

  • Where to click: Cell, field, button, or grid.
  • What it does: Opens a menu for moving the row the cell is in up or down; or moving the column the cell is in to the left or right.
  • How to use it: Click it.



Add Control

  • Where to click: Cell, grid cell, or template field.
  • What it does: Opens a window to add desired controls to the cell.
  • How to use it: Click it to open the Add Control window, select the desired control type, and click OK.



Cut Cell

  • Where to click: Cell.
  • What it does: Cuts cell contents.
  • How to use it: Click it and paste the contents in another location.



Copy Cell

  • Where to click: Cell.
  • What it does: Copies cell contents.
  • How to use it: Click it and paste the contents in another location.



Delete Cell

  • Where to click: Cell.
  • What it does: Deletes the cell.
  • How to use it: Click it.



Clear Cell

  • Where to click: Cell, field, or button.
  • What it does: Deletes cell contents.
  • How to use it: Click it.



Clear Panel

  • Where to click: Cell, field, or button.
  • What it does: Deletes contents of all cells in the table the cell is in.
  • How to use it: Click it.



Delete Row(s)

  • Where to click: Cell, field, or button.
  • What it does: Deletes selected row(s).
  • How to use it: Click it.



Delete Column(s)

  • Where to click: Cell, field, template field, or button.
  • What it does: Deletes selected column(s).
  • How to use it: Click it.



Create Compatible Caption

  • Where to click: Panel or field.
  • What it does: Creates a caption adjacent to the selected field.
  • How to use it: Click it.



Cut Control

  • Where to click: Field or button.
  • What it does: Cuts the control.
  • How to use it: Click it and paste in another location.



Copy Control

  • Where to click: Field or button.
  • What it does: Copies the control.
  • How to use it: Click it and paste in another location.



Delete Control

  • Where to click: Field or button.
  • What it does: Deletes the control.
  • How to use it: Click it.



Change Control

  • Where to click: Field or button.
  • What it does: Changes the control type from its original control type to the selected control type.
  • How to use it: Click it to open the Change Control window, select the desired control type, and click OK.



Paste Control

  • Where to click: Cell, field, or grid cell.
  • What it does: Pastes the copied control.
  • How to use it: Click it.



Add Columns

  • Where to click: Grid.
  • What it does: Adds columns to the grid.
  • How to use it: Click it and select the desired columns from the list.



Move Column Left

  • Where to click: Template field.
  • What it does: Moves the column to the left.
  • How to use it: Click it.



Move Column Right

  • Where to click: Template field.
  • What it does: Moves the column to the right.
  • How to use it: Click it.



Move Tabsheet Left

  • Where to click: Tab.
  • What it does: Moves the tabsheet to the left.
  • How to use it: Click it.



Move Tabsheet Right

  • Where to click: Tab.
  • What it does: Moves the tabsheet to the right.
  • How to use it: Click it.



Constraint

  • Where to click: Field, grid, or cell.
  • What it does: Allows you to add a constraint on the data the control can contain.
  • How to use it: Click to open the menu, select the type of constraint, enter the details, and click OK.
