Configure Standard Bookmarks

  

Introduction

This process allows you to define bookmarks across the whole project. You can insert these bookmarks into any correspondence without having to define them each time.

QUICK STEPS
1 Open the project configuration
2 In the Common Properties tab, add a property
3 Enter the property details
4 In the Correspondence tab, add a property
5 Enter the property details
6 Expand the Entity ID and add standard bookmarks
7 In the Common Properties tab, add an object
8 Configure the object
9 Save the project configuration
10 Open the correspondence XML file
11 Open the Word template
12 Add the standard bookmarks
13 Save the template
14 Save the correspondence file

Detailed Steps

Step 1. Open the project configuration.

In the Tools menu, select Project Configuration.



Step 2. In the Common Properties tab, add a property.

 

Step 3. Enter the property details.

The details are:

  • ID: Programmatic ID of the property.
  • Description: You can enter a short description that defines your property.



Step 4. In the Correspondence tab, add a property.



Step 5. Enter the property details.

The details are:

  • ID: Programmatic ID of the property.
  • Common Property: Property that comes from the common properties.



Step 6. Expand the Entity ID and add standard bookmarks.

For each standard bookmark, the properties are:

  • ID: Programmatic ID of the standard bookmark.
  • Entity Field: Field from the object.



Step 7. In the Common Properties tab, add an object.



Step 8. Configure the object.

The properties are:

  • Object ID: Programmatic ID of the object.
  • ID: Programmatic ID of the property.
  • Entity Field: Entity column.
  • Object Method: Method that comes from the entity.



Step 9. Save the project configuration.



Step 10. Open the correspondence file.

Open the correspondence file you want to insert the standard bookmarks in.



Step 11. Open the Word template.



Step 12. Add the standard bookmarks.

Select the Standard Bookmark Bookmark Type. The Bookmark Name list populates with the bookmarks from Project Configuration. Select and add the desired bookmarks.

Standard bookmarks are prefixed with std.



Step 13. Save the template.



Step 14. Save the correspondence file.

Now when the application generates the correspondence, it will include the standard bookmarks.
