Required Correspondence Files

  

The application requires three different kinds of files to successfully generate a correspondence:

  • Word template(s) or templates in the correct location(s): This is what the application inserts data into when it generates correspondence.
  • Application correspondence template record: This defines properties that determine where and when the correspondence may be generated.
  • S3 XML correspondence file: This maps all the bookmarks in the template to data, so the application can insert the data into the template correctly.

You must create the XML file last and you must include the Word template as a reference value in the application record, so it is easiest to create the files in the order of the Word template first, then the application record, and finally the S3 file.
