Report Properties Controls

  

Report ID

  • What it does: Programmatic ID of the report that corresponds to the rdlc file it uses.
  • How to use it: This is read-only. You enter it during the wizard.
  • Other notes: Should the ID change, you can edit it in the Source view.



Report Name

  • What it does: The rdlc file the report uses.
  • How to use it: Select from the drop down.



Type

  • What it does: Identifies whether the report is based on a query or method.
  • How to use it: Select Query or Method.



Report Category

  • What it does: Identifies the Web.sitemap node to place the report in.
  • How to use it: Enter text.



Query

  • What it does: Query the report is based on if Type is Query.
  • How to use it: Enter the query or use the magnifying glass icon to browse.



Method

  • What it does: Method the report is based on if Type is Method.
  • How to use it: Select from the drop down.



Resource

  • What it does: Security ID that determines who can access the report.
  • How to use it: Enter text.



Description

  • What it does: Text the application uses to refer to the report on the Reports screen.
  • How to use it: Enter text.



Active checkbox

  • What it does: If checked, the report will be accessible in the application. Otherwise, it won't.
  • How to use it: Click to check or uncheck.
