Assignable Count

Assignable Count allows you to limit the number of tasks that can be assigned to a user in case the Assignment Option is set to By Load.

    BPM

Business Process Management. Also called workflow. An application process that routes work from user to user, and that executes business rules and business object methods to determine, or as a result of, the paths the process takes.

    Business Rule Task

Activity that consists of the application evaluating a business rule.

    Call Activity

BPM element that consists of an entire other process the process being mapped can call as a process step.

    End Event

Event that ends a Pool. A Pool must have one and may have multiple End Events.

    Event

BPM element that starts, pauses, or ends a Pool.

    Event Gateway

Gateway that only proceeds to an Intermediate Catch Event.

    Exclusive Gateway

Gateway from which multiple paths are available, but the process can only take one.

    Execute On SoftErrors

By default, it is true. This specifies if the User Task needs to be executed in case the business object has any SoftErrors.

    Gateway

BPM element that routes a process to one or more paths.

    Inclusive Gateway

Gateway from which multiple paths are available, and the process can take more than one of those paths. Later, another Inclusive Gateway will have multiple paths in and only one path out.

    Initiating Message

BPM graphical element that does not map to any property. It's only there to aid the understanding of anyone who views the graphic. It indicates a message that initiates the process.

    Intermediate Catch Event

Event that causes a Pool to wait for either a defined time interval or message before resuming.

    Is Available Online

If checked, allows the BPM process to populate on the Case Initiation screen.

    Lane

Horizontal Pool section that contains all the BPM elements that fall under the auspices of a single actor. A Pool can have one or multiple lanes.

    Non Initiating Message

BPM graphical element that does not map to any property. It's only there to aid the understanding of anyone who views the graphic. It indicates any message that does not initiate the process.

    Parallel Gateway

Gateway from which multiple paths are available, and the process has to take all of them and wait for all paths to be complete before proceeding.

    Performer

Defined actor for a Lane or User Task.

    Pool

Container for one process in a BPM map. A map can have one or multiple pools.

    Process Type

Determines if the process is associated with a Person or an Organization.

    Service Task

Activity that consists of the application calling a method from the business object.

    Set On Enter Actions

Allows you to assign values to the object properties using process variables before executing a method/scalar query.

    Set On Exit Actions

Allows you to assign values to the process variables using object properties after executing a method/scalar query.

    Start Event

Event that starts a Pool. A Pool must have one and only one Start Event.

    Task

Undefined BPM element that serves as a placeholder for an activity for whom the actor is unknown.

    User Task

Activity that consists of an application user interacting with application screens.

    Variable

Defined value the BPM map uses to route the process.
