Charts Properties Controls

  

ID

  • What it does: Programmatic ID of the chart.
  • How to use it: This was entered during creation.



Visible checkbox

  • What it does: Controls whether the user can see the control.
  • How to use it: Click to check or uncheck the checkbox.



Resource

  • What it does: Security ID that determines whether the user can access the control.
  • How to use it: Enter the ID.



CSS Class

  • What it does: Custom style sheet class that controls cell appearance.
  • How to use it: Enter the class.



Custom Attributes

  • What it does: Defined attribute to be rendered on the HTML page.
  • How to use it: Enter the text.

 

Entity Field

  • What it does: Specifies the name of the collection the chart is associated with.
  • How to use it: Enter the text.


Chart Name

  • What it does: Text that displays on the top of the chart on the application.
  • How to use it: Enter the chart name.



Height

  • What it does: Height of the chart.
  • How to use it: Enter the number.



Width

  • What it does: Width of the chart.
  • How to use it: Enter the number.



Chart Type

  • What it does: Identifies the type of chart.
  • How to use it: Select from the drop down.



Category Axis Rotation

  • What it does: Allows you to rotate the X-axis values at a particular angle.
  • How to use it: Enter the angle.



Background Chart Color

  • What it does: Allows you to provide a background color to the chart.
  • How to use it: Enter the color.



XAxis Title

  • What it does: Text that displays in the X-axis on the Chart screen.
  • How to use it: Enter the text.



YAxis Title

  • What it does: Text that displays in the Y-axis on the Chart screen.
  • How to use it: Enter the text.



XAxis Format

  • What it does: Specifies the format for the X-axis value.
  • How to use it: Select from the drop down.



YAxis Format

  • What it does: Specifies the format for the Y-axis value.
  • How to use it: Select from the drop down.



Show Legend checkbox

  • What it does: If checked, displays the legend (informative dialog box).
  • How to use it: Click to check or uncheck.



Show Marker

  • What it does: If checked, highlights the X-axis and Y-axis values intersection on the chart.
  • How to use it: Click to check or uncheck.
  • Other notes: This property only applies to line charts.



ShowDataLabels

  • What it does: Displays additional chart information.
  • How to use it: Select True or False from the drop down.
  • Other notes: This property only applies to pie and donut charts.
